We were left torn and shaken last week at the shocking and tragic news of the death of a beloved officer, Margaret Harris.
We fondly call her ‘Maggie’ and she was an extremely valued member of our team.
Besides her dedication to her daily responsibilities, ‘Maggie’ was a friend to many of us and overall, a wonderful and kind-hearted human being.
Her quiet disposition was only broken by a frequent and infectious smile that radiated across the office to warm the hearts of fellow officers and members of the public who came to our headquarters on business.
The painful misfortune that befell her is now being investigated by the authorities and we remain hopeful that they will be guided in the right direction in solving a terrible crime that robbed all of us of a beautiful person.
Our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends from all of us at the Customs and Excise Division as they come to terms with a terrible loss.

A very quiet person indeed….. Our prayers & condolences are extended to her family and we hope the perpetrator is found and brought to justice
Is this related to the Nigel Christian murder?
2 customs workers murdered and another shot in the knee
My condolences to all her family, may her soul rest in peace..
Thank you to the person who said those very kind words. Rest in peace Maggie
That was a wonderful, heartfelt tribute. May the athorities be given wisdom from above so the killer might be brought to justice. There are too many murders in this country, and murderers are overpopulating 1735. Capital punishment will clear up some of the backlog. The US just executed another killer a few days ago. Justice must be done.
