Outgoing Chinese Ambassador Honoured in Farewell Celebration
Antigua and Barbuda bid farewell to Chinese Ambassador H.E. Zhang Yanling at a reception celebrating culture and friendship.
The evening featured performances blending local and Chinese traditions, including a steelpan serenade by Khan Cordice, a Mandarin song by a Sir Novelle Richards Academy teacher, and a traditional dance by the Elite Dance Company.
Ambassador Zhang received gifts from Prime Minister Gaston Browne, Foreign Minister E.P. Chet Greene, and other officials, reflecting the respect she earned during her tenure. She said the country “will always be in my heart” as the event ended with applause and emotional farewells.
