Antigua and Barbuda has maintained extensive technical cooperation and exchanges in the framework of educational and health programs with the Caribbean nation.

Both nations are members of regional blocs such as the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States and the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People’s Trade Treaty.

They are also members of the Association of Caribbean States and the United Nations, where Antigua and Barbuda has condemned the blockade against Cuba.

In 2020, the two Governments celebrated 20 years of the beginning of the Cuban medical collaboration in the neighboring country, strengthened amid the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
