Jurors in the Nigel Christian murder trial were shown crime scene photographs and challenged forensic procedures as the High Court proceedings entered their fifth day.
A forensic photographer, testifying via video link, presented images taken at multiple locations following the July 2020 killing of the senior Customs official. The court viewed photographs from the scene in Thibou’s, Christian’s residence where entry had been forced, and his vehicle recovered in Cassada Gardens. Additional items were documented from bags later found near Perry Bay, which prosecutors allege are connected to the case.
During cross-examination, defence attorney Sherfield Bowen pressed the officer on evidence-handling methods. The witness acknowledged that fingerprint dusting was not conducted at one location and agreed some aspects of vehicle processing did not reflect best practice.
The court also heard that security footage from Marble Hill Main Road and other nearby properties was handed over to investigators and is expected to be formally introduced later.
Lasean Bully, Wayne Thomas and Saleim Harrigan have pleaded not guilty to the charges. The matter continues before Justice Rajiv Persaud.
