Department of Culture Announces Call for Submissions for “The Creatives Among Us”
St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda — The Department of Culture is preparing for its newest installment of the “Creatives Among Us” project, a special platform designed to highlight and celebrate the extraordinary talent within Antigua and Barbuda’s cultural community.
This initiative seeks to honor seven (7) outstanding individuals across the cultural sectors of Music, Dance, Drama, Visual Arts, Film, Literary Arts, Carnival Arts, and Craft. These seven creatives will be featured in a powerful documentary that will premiere in late October 2025, showcasing their artistry, journey, and impact on national development. Members of the public are invited to put forward names of potential candidates who embody excellence, innovation, and dedication within their respective fields. If there is someone who you consider to believe has been involved in the arts in an impactful way but has mostly gone unrecognized, please submit:
- The Individual’s Full Name
- A short bio/history of the individual no more than 2000 words (1 letter sized sheet) to the department.

The Department of Culture encourages nominations from all sectors of the society, affirming the belief that the arts remain one of the most powerful vehicles of national identity and pride.
