Creative Industries Minister Dwayne George has praised the ECAB 2026 Mr. and Miss Teenage Pageant as an outstanding celebration of the talent, confidence and potential of Antigua and Barbuda’s young people.
George described the production as professional, entertaining and well-executed from start to finish.
“A heartfelt congratulations to all of the contestants for gracing the stage with poise and excellence,” he said. “You have made Antigua and Barbuda proud.”
The minister thanked the Festival Commission, the government, sponsors, partners, volunteers, judges, production crew and other stakeholders for helping to stage the event.
“Your hard work, commitment and passion were evident in every detail,” George said.
He added that the contestants demonstrated that the nation’s future remains bright, describing them as young ambassadors who continue to inspire through their talent and potential.

The Teen Pageant has become my favourite show in the carnival season. Well done, young people.
There were some really good individual performances in each segment. But of course, the winners will be the two carrying an overall higher mark.
This year the pageant again lived up to my expectations. The students were on top of their game. They were well rehearsed and they delivered.
Commendations should also go to the trainers – voice teachers, choreographers, researchers, costume designers & builders, technical guides, media creators, etc.
The three young persons who did the commentating were also pleasant to listen to.
Just a couple of areas that can be improved on.
The MC was overbearing. She was very robotic and condescending. Let’s get a bit more professionalism in that area.
More efforts must be made to ensure the sound and lighting are above board.
Finally, shorten the show. Segment Two was too long. It would be good to do a preliminary round early July then have a finals of eight students to determine the winners. This show can be done to time and streamed so that the pageant could have a little nest egg to produce the next one even bigger and better.
