Claudette ‘CP’ Peters was among approximately 70 performers last night at the groovy segment of the Soca Monarch Quater finals.
The competition continues today at the old Barrymore Hotel with the jumpy segment.
CP sang Arms Length on Tuesday night to emerge as a favourite for yet another year.
The competition with an appreciable crowd, saw a mix of both youth and experience as each performer took the stage for two minutes.
Other crowd favourites that night were Drastic who returned to the competition stage after a period of absence, Zamoni and former monarch Ezzy Ratigan with Syrian Soca.
Results of the competition are not expected before Thursday.
