A COVID-positive pregnant woman has died at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre.
SLBMC Medical Director Dr. Albert Duncan said the patient, age 40, died this morning, September 27 at 3:25 am.
This marks the nation’s first confirmed maternal death due to complications of COVID-19.
