COVID-19 is diminishing as a threat to the Antigua, says Health Minister

CABINET NOTES:

The Minister of Health also noted that COVID-19 is diminishing as a threat to the Antigua and Barbuda population but encourages everyone to get vaccinated.

The Minister also encourages everyone to get boosted following 6 months after their last shot.

Those men and women older than 50 years are especially encouraged to take their booster shots.

The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment revealed six (6) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Monday 13th June, 2022 at 6pm.

Thirty-eight (38) samples were processed.

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is eight thousand five hundred and thirty-seven (8,537); which is inclusive of one hundred and sixty-two (162) active cases.

There are five (5) hospitalized cases; two (2) moderate and three (3) mild.
