A 29-year-old man was reprimanded and discharged after pleading guilty to stealing two bottles of rum from Perry Bay Supermarket.
Koeic Francis of Swetes Village admitted to taking two bottles of Cavalier Antigua Gold Rum worth a total of $63.90 on September 26. A security guard spotted the theft, and Francis was later arrested after returning the next day and repeating the act.
Acting Chief Magistrate Dexter Wason noted Francis had only recently been released from prison after nine months on remand for a similar charge. The court heard that Francis, who lives with relatives and is unemployed, has not been receiving treatment despite a professional evaluation.
Several people in court pleaded for leniency, and Wason ultimately opted for compassion, warning Francis he could not continue down the same path. Francis promised not to reoffend. A restitution order was issued for the alcohol.

Leniency for RUM??? I could understand if it was FOOD he stole because he was hungry
They need to admit him to a drug and substance abuse program else this will not stop
