Corporal Shane Williams has been awarded The Governor General’s Faithful and Meritorious Service Award – The Cross for his outstanding 20-year career in the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda and his exemplary service to the Governor General’s Goodwill Emissary.
Enlisted in 2004, Corporal Williams has served in numerous divisions, including the Special Recovery Unit and the Criminal Investigation Department.
Currently assigned to Government House, he ensures the safety and well-being of Their Excellencies.
His life-saving actions during a health crisis involving Her Excellency Lady Williams epitomize his dedication to duty.
Guided by the philosophy that “Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile,” Corporal Williams continues to exemplify service and selflessness, making him a deserving recipient of this distinguished award.
