The 2025 Cool and Smooth Business Basketball League gets under way on Saturday night at the JSC Sports Complex, with 14 teams vying to dethrone defending champions Sandals.
The season will open with a short ceremony at 7pm before a double-header launch. Sandals, who lifted the trophy last year, begin their title defence against Corner Stone Builders and Maintenance in the first clash of the evening. The feature game will see former champions Antigua and Barbuda Transport Board (ABTB) meet H Wright Promotions, one of the pre-season favourites.
Matches will be played nightly, except on Fridays, with tip-off at 7pm. Each side will face the others in a round-robin format before the top eight progress to the playoffs.
Organiser Carl “Bowlie” Knight, a former national player and sportsman of the year, said the season promises to be one of the most exciting yet. He confirmed that the popular All-Star Day will return, with a select team travelling to St Lucia at the end of the competition.
