Three Urlings Fishermen Missing at Sea
Search efforts are underway after three fishermen from the coastal village of Urlings failed to return from a fishing trip earlier this week.
Relatives say the men left the Urlings area sometime after 7 p.m. on Wednesday aboard a white fishing vessel with a cabin identified as FAITH P, registration V2090UL.
According to updated information from a family member, one of the fishermen contacted relatives early Thursday morning and said he would be returning. However, attempts to reach him afterward were unsuccessful, with the phone reportedly out of range or turned off.
The missing men have been identified as Calton Pitt, the owner of the vessel, Devon Prince, also known as “Greecegun,” and Ivan Pryce, known as “Puskey.”
The Antigua and Barbuda Coast Guard has begun a search operation, while fishermen from the Urlings fishing station have also joined the effort to locate the vessel.
Images circulating on social media show the boat believed to be associated with the men as family members and residents continue to appeal for information.
Anyone with information that could assist in locating the fishermen is asked to contact 774-0820 or 728-5884.
