Antigua & Barbuda – The public is invited to a community consultation on the state of wetlands and management measures to build resilience in Nelson’s Dockyard National Park.

Titled “Your Voice, Your Park, Your Future,” the event will take place on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Copper and Lumber Hotel.

This consultation aims to engage residents, stakeholders, and environmental advocates in shaping decisions that will protect the park’s biodiversity and cultural heritage.

Attendees will have the opportunity to share their insights and contribute to strategies for sustainable wetland management.

I guess the white people after getting the ALP government to create a quasi development control authority over riding the DCA to control black people property rights and make it much more expensive for them to build and white people dominate the lands acquiring lands from the people who the government legislation has caused to face hard times, the white people shall now say what is wetlands so they can go fill up the swamp lands an build and that will be too costly for the locals and is not our culture of building either, because it’s more colonial structure our builders know of. to build in swamp where you need pile driving structure is not economically feasible for the locals. This is going to push out English harbour people out of that area, a gentrification in disguise.
