COMMUNITY ACTIVIST BRINGS HOLIDAY CHEER TO CLAREVUE HOSPITAL RESIDENTS
St. John’s, Antigua – Dr. Terri London, alongside Level Up Team and The Mitch League, conducted a meaningful holiday outreach program at Clarevue Hospital today, delivering essential clothing items and spreading festive cheer to residents and staff.
“During this Christmas season, we felt compelled to reach out to the residents and staff at Clarevue Hospital,” said Dr. London. “Our presence here today goes beyond delivering clothing – it’s about showing these individuals that they are remembered and valued members of our community.”
The initiative recognizes the crucial role Clarevue Hospital plays in providing medical stabilization and safe recovery spaces for individuals facing mental health challenges. Dr. London emphasized that the facility serves those who require specialized care and support during vulnerable periods in their lives.
Drawing from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s framework, Dr. London highlighted the four pillars of mental health recovery: health, home, purpose, and community. She called upon the wider public to actively participate in supporting vulnerable members of society, including children, single mothers, and the elderly.
“Every contribution, regardless of size, can make a significant impact in alleviating the mental health challenges faced within our community,” Dr. London stated. “Our goal is to foster a more compassionate Antigua and Barbuda where everyone feels supported and valued.”
Level Up Team and The Mitch League continue to demonstrate their commitment to community service and mental health awareness through initiatives like this holiday outreach program.
