WHO CAN BE GUILTY OF TREASON?
In light of recent national events, the word treason keeps popping up in my mind so I thought I would go seek a definition.
A search on the internet gave these two definitions:
1. The betrayal of allegiance toward one’s own country, especially by committing hostile acts against it or aiding its enemies in committing such acts;
2. The betrayal of someone’s trust or confidence.
Very interesting!
Would it not be fair to conclude that treason is essentially the betrayal of the trust of the people of a country by an individual or group of individuals, particularly as it relates to aiding another country in a hostile act against ones own country?
What then should the people of a country do with an individual or group of individuals who perpetuated treason against them?
I then decided that I would seek out that answer from the Antigua and Barbuda constitution.
In Section 4(1) of the Constitution it states:
“No person shall be deprived of his life intentionally save in execution of the sentence of a court in respect of a crime of treason or murder of which he has been convicted.”
My interpretation of that clause guides me to think that the state has no right to take an individual’s life except in cases where the said individual has been proven to have committed treason or murder.
Therefore murder and treason, within the context of the constitution, are acts that justify the death penalty.
Our constitution equates treason to murder!
This begs the question, what exactly are acts that constitute treason?
Based on the definition we established earlier, would my illustration below constitute an act of treason or humanitarianism?
If I were your country’s leader and I had voluntarily and quietly colluded with another country to turn your country into a mass refugee camp or a criminal holding facility like Guantanamo Bay, would you consider me a humanitarian?
Would you put me on your shoulder and parade me throughout the length and breadth of your country extolling my love for country and mankind?
What exactly is a leader’s mindset, who is willing to quietly offer up his country to the control of another country which has not been acting kindly towards your country?
What about that leader’s behaviour is not considered an act of treason, based on our definition?
In contrast a former cricketer and commentator named Colin Croft, while making a reasonable criticism some time ago of the state of readiness of a cricket venue, Antigua Recreations Grounds (ARG), was declared persona non grata.
Strange world we are living in!
This just demonstrates that there is never justice for the little man.

I like how this article began. Then it went off script and ended abruptly. Colin Croft did not commit treason against Antigua from your definition since we was not an Antiguan. Colin Croft was an honest, frank and outspoken person and was just stating the facts.
In fact if it was not for the heroic and ingenuity of our ground contractor his words would have come to pass. So this analogy is not applicable.
I said that I like how the article began. Since from the definition the entire cabinet of Antigua has committed treason against this country and us as a people.
I also consider the sale of our sovereign passports as treason. A few have ran into the law internationally since obtaining our passports through this act.
If we as a people do not stand up and resist this invasion, we are all committing treason against Antigua and Barbuda.
I don’t like this article. Firstly, the United States of America has not been acting unkindly to the United Islands of Antigua and Barbuda. It is Antigua and Barbuda ABLP PM, Gaston Browne, who has been acting unkind to the USA.
Do you not hear the constant criticizing, disparagement, and selfishness that ABLP PM Gaston Browne against USA? In every matter that includes the US versus China or US versus Cuba or US versus North Korea or US versus Maduro-Venezuela or US versus Hell that the ABLP PM Gaston Browne constantly unfairly and tyrannically attacks the US. I do not know why this man hates the US so much.
Do you ever see any persons from Antigua and Barbuda leaving to any of those countries versus the US to overstay and live? No. They go to the US. No Antiguans are going to China or those other countries against the US to give birth. But they certainly all want US babies.
I must also inform you that this is the main reason for the executive orders, policies and proclamations, the attitude and behavior of the ABLP Gaston Browne against the US. It is not the overstaying per se or CIP, and I am 100% sure, it is because how much this ABLP PM Gaston Browne publicly conveys his hatred for the USA.
We Antiguans and Barbudans love the USA and he does not speak for us in this area. He speaks for the people he is getting oil, money, discounts and all other benefits that is causing him to say the things not even 1 Antiguan and Barbudan he is representing wants him to say or believe (perhaps this is one type of treason?).
Anyway, I am not against the United Islands of Antigua and Barbuda taking certain refugees and asylees that possesses skills that is of national importance and substantial merit for Antigua and Barbuda. I am pretty sure some of those people would be better than the current criminals ABLP encourages to come into the country of Antigua and Barbuda to race, murder, steal, prostitute, etcetera. As you see, most heads of ABLP departments are/were from other countries while the ABLP PM Gaston Browne tell born Antiguans and Barbudans I can’t help you by doing my job (his pre-existing duty) and things like my ABLP PM Gaston Brown son is only making a small $30,000 a month.
It is clear that the US see it appropriate for their to be new policies or new government in Antigua and Barbuda and I do agree with the United States of America about the urgent need for a new ABLP and new United Islands of Antigua and Barbuda.
Every Antiguan and Barbudan wants the US benefits and policies, they find them attractive more than anything they see in China or North Korea or Cuba or Venezuela or in Hell. Commonsense would let ABLP knows which policy they would support but there is no Commonsense in this ABLP. I call for new leaders for ABLP, and for the country until then.
One thing about Yves is he stretches meanings beyond logic and creates his own facts. Has to truly be in pain. Using his logic one could argue that governments who push tourism are guilty of treason since the false logic will be that it forces our people to be subservient. We can also make the same argument for government’s that encouraged a US base in Antigua. Facts that did not matter to Yves argument is that we are speaking about refugees who have fled their homeland due to danger, needing a place of safety, the US probably due to them not being white (eg the white South Africans who were easily accepted due to their knowingly false claims), prefers to place them outside the US. Should A&B abandon them like the US plans to? Yves would be a fool if he thinks the US would not abandon them in a unsafe country. Another fact that Yves dismisses is we are speaking about no more than 10 persons a year hence his argument about a mass refugee camp is false.

My way of helping- So we getting all this negativity from you because you were not given a gun license because you did not qualify. The nation was probably spared because its clear you have not learnt from your dad’s mistakes hence would possibly repeat. Too often he was found to wrongly use his weapon but you could never see his errors. Like him you also have a prejudice especially against Jamaicans. Its GB fault that Donald Trump has implemented his stated policies to ensure that the US will have no more immigrants from third world countries. Trump has made clear he prefers immigrants from places like Norway. People like you myoh have contributed to the browning of America, something Trump argues destroys America’s culture. In case you have not received the memo, they do want and or value you.
In our case treason can only be assessed against the Crown. End of story.

And for the record..I don’t think that Antigua will get refugees, not because GB is some great negotiator all of a sudden, or that he’s some great Antigua patriot, but I do believe that Trump has already turned his back on Antigua, because that’s how he operates.
Trump made a play for GB to take refugees month ago, but back then GB denied him, why, because GB was banking on his relationship with Maduro, the Chinese and Cuba to pan out, and now that it hasn’t, he is left empty handed and have no choice but to bring up the topic again.
But this was asked of GB way back..this is not a current issue, but now it is back on the table because GB is now desperate.
No one came to the aid of Maduro, so now everyone is for themselves.
He ,GB,was playing all sides,and have now lost that play, so he has to do something to appease the US.
So this is why all this talk about “refugees” came up out the blue.
But I think that cart has already bolted. He should have chosen the US back then, instead he didn’t, so Trump went and dig up all the dirt, because trump and his people were thinking the same ” why would he deny me” huuumm?
That’s why the WIOC president was questioned (without the knowledge of GB by the way) and that’s why the sanctions came down, because trump dig up the dirt and found out that GB is playing all sides.
So this is why we are here..because we have a leader who was looking out for himself and getting rich from Venezuela oil..
But Trump has now turned his back on any negotiations for Antigua, because he was denied, and this man is one of the most vindictive presidents we ever had.
But I fault GB for not knowing the game he was playing..

Lying Tenman, they approved me for the firearm you liar. This is why we should get rid of ABLP, so lies can be decreased. You literally saw my approval letter for the firearm and still would blatantly lie to the public. There is literally nothing else from your mouth that I would ever trust, you and your ABLP.

Also, after I left the country, I then got that final approval, call in for the mandatory firearms training in which was not needed as I already got FBI level training but would have still complied but already left.
99% of my clients are Jamaican, who have no money and I help them (national hero for Jamaican in the US, they say). So stop your ignorance, dishonesty and the norm you do in finances.

You write this epistle but continue to hide what you are seekng a license for. In terms of your personal attack, note this would not be the first time I have called you out for allowing your emotions to blind you. You can’t get your way so you no longer support. The political directorate would have to lose their mind if they tried to overrule the licensing body. Their justification is because you are supporter the requirements should be ignored? Guy you don’t meet the requirements and the license is not required for the biz you described….”

I read the law, sent it to them all. There is no requirement to live there but already expressed to turk I am going to live there in November upon approval of this license.
Also, I know of others who does not live there but got an approval.
They actually even guaranteed approval to me from their statements. There is no legal basis for a denial.

Sir, Permit granted for my firearm, for me to carry for 6 months (temporary permit), while license (which is not temporary) I waited for over 4 months and then after I left Antigua and Barbuda I was told they would approve the full license but I need to show up to the firearms training that they require first. Only after I left the country and not while I was there for 4 months. They still have my $500.00 they say I must pay for that course.
So, stop being a liar, stop making people hate ABLP, you and the others. You guys must go and new people take over ABLP. Because if you can tell the truth for basic things, how on earth will you tell the truth on bigger things. From this day forth, I will never trust anything tenman and this ABLP says. I will encourage the public to also follow suit.
