Collapsed boardwalk section repaired, access restored between Redcliffe and Heritage Quays

Repairs have been completed to the section of the waterfront boardwalk that collapsed earlier this month, restoring pedestrian access between Redcliffe Quay and Heritage Quay.

The collapse occurred on a busy cruise day, raising concerns among vendors, visitors and nearby businesses.

Port Manager Darwin Telemaque said immediate action was taken to avoid prolonged disruption in one of the capital’s busiest tourism areas.

During the repairs, water taxi operations were temporarily moved to the Montserrat Ferry Terminal to reduce congestion and pressure on the damaged section.
