CMO urges all inoculated residents to take the booster shot

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Rhonda Sealy-Thomas is urging residents to get their booster shots at any of the vaccination centres across Antigua and Barbuda.

The public roll-out for boosters commenced today, December 16, for persons over the age of 18.  However, Dr. Sealy-Thomas says that others persons, including those who are immuno-compromised, began receiving their third shot since early December.

While some healthcare professionals have recommended the mixing of vaccines, the CMO says that persons should try, as far as possible, to take the drug they first got.

Going forward, she says that Antigua and Barbuda, like the rest of the world, has to be prepared to live with the COVID-19 virus for many more years.

The CMO also encourages those who are yet to be inoculated to do so immediately, especially since there is a new, highly transmissible variant.

    This CMO may be unfit for this job. The above comment flies in the face of what is now the consensus amount researchers: a mixed-vaccine regimen generally provides better protection.

    And in the last week or two it data has come out suggesting that some vaccines (AstraZenca, J&J, Sinopharm) provide little or no protection against Omicron. Two doses (original 1 shot + booster) of J&J will not help you very much. At present it is unclear how much a third shot of AstraZenca will help against Omicron, but we already know that 2 Astra + 1 Pfizer or Moderna provides better protection than 3 shots of Astra.

    In light of what we now know about mixing vaccines, the CMO’s recommendation really calls for an explanation.

    Recently in France’s press, a call to stop the current vaccination programme becomes ever louder as 60,000 scientists have signed up to halt the current Covid-19 mass vaccine approach.

    Called the Great Barrington Declaration (GBD), a growing army of rebellious-minded infectious disease epidemiologists, other scientists, physicians and public health experts came together to compare notes about their GRAVE CONCERNS associated with the risks of PHYSICAL and MENTAL health impacts associated with Covid-19 mass vaccination programmes.

    The GBD group favours what they call “Focussed Protection”.

    GBD have no political affiliations, and represents both the left and the right of politics, and also the full spectrum of nationalities and disciplines. Furthermore, this group of scientists and researchers claim that the current lockdown policies are devastating communities, both in the short and long term.

    Hopefully, this ONE LONE VOICE of Dr Rhonda Sealey-Thomas will now pay attention to the 60,000 medical experts that say that what she is doing is TOTALLY WRONG.

    REMEMBER FOLKS, TO KEEP LISTENING TO THE INDEPENDENT MEDICAL EXPERTS, AND NOT THOSE WHO ARE PAID TO TOW THE GOVERNMENT LINE …

  10. Information is out their alot of people are blind to the truth or playing blind because of fear. Death is inevitable, scientist are expermentist they don’t know the answers to all its trial and error they cannot guarantee who dies and lives. We have to learn to live with covid. A strong immune system that has been designed by God is already boosted for past, present and future sickness. Mankind will always fail and be deceptive for their personal gain.

    People need to wake up, think for themselves.

    They said 2 shots full protection 3 shot 4 shot, after every shot there is a new variant, how many individuals are willing to become a drug addict. If these gene therapy would have stop the spread more people would have taken the experiment.
