AUDIO: CMO says contact tracing related to 5th COVID fatality started already

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Rhonda Sealey Thomas says contact tracing for the country’s latest COVID-19 fatality began as soon as the case surfaced.

The victim is a healthcare worker and the 5th person to die of the disease in Antigua and Barbuda.

While expressing condolences to the family Sealey Thomas said new cases and in particular new deaths are always of concern to her and the ministry.

So far, according to the CMO contact tracing has led to about 20 individuals related to the latest fatality.
