Cleric urges vigilance after second attempted break-in in Vernons

A local pastor has called for heightened security and community engagement following a second attempted break-in at his Vernons home.

Reverend Dr Amos Nkrumah, of the Pentecost International Worship Centre, said the incident occurred in the early hours of 4 September. “I heard a noise at the entrance and saw a man trying to break down the front door. I shouted, and he ran off,” he told police.

Surveillance footage reportedly showed three masked individuals attempting to enter the property and damaging security lights and cameras. Police were called at around 5 a.m., and patrols in the area have since increased.

Reverend Nkrumah urged residents to focus not only on physical security but also on spiritual and moral renewal. “A true change begins from within, through salvation and a transformed heart,” he said.

No injuries were reported, and nothing was stolen. Authorities continue to investigate.

  1. Was robbery their primary motive or something else since they were armed? Whatever it might be, it’s wrong and needs to stop.

  2. WHAT THE HELL…! …ATTACKING SANCTUARIES: …AND DWELLINGS: …SPREAD THE GOSPEL
