Cleanup Drive Targets Bulk Waste in Crabbe Hill, Johnson’s Point
A two-day bulk waste cleanup has been completed in the communities of Crabbe Hill and Johnson’s Point, with residents and volunteers working to remove large debris and improve their surroundings.
The initiative was led by ABLP caretaker and Senator Dwayne George, who said the activity formed part of ongoing efforts to keep communities clean, safe and healthy.
Carried out under the theme “Clean Where You Live,” the exercise brought together community members in a coordinated push to clear bulky waste, including old appliances and furniture, from residential areas.
Participants were seen loading discarded items onto trucks for disposal, as the cleanup aimed to address environmental concerns while promoting shared responsibility among residents.
George said the initiative reflects a broader commitment to community development and environmental care, noting that such efforts help improve the quality of life across St. Mary’s South.
Organizers indicated that similar activities are expected to continue as part of ongoing cleanup and beautification efforts within the constituency.
