A government employee was remanded to prison Tuesday after pleading guilty to two weapons offenses.

Sedeki Akelo Andre, a Civil Registry worker from Gambles, admitted before Senior Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel to illegal possession of a 9mm Taurus handgun and seven matching rounds. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Thursday.

Police said the charges stem from a November 16 incident at a Gentleman’s Club, where an on-duty officer noticed a bulge at Andre’s midsection as he entered the building.

When the officer sought permission to search him, Andre allegedly resisted verbally and physically. The officer attempted to detain him, sparking a struggle that ended only after a security guard intervened.

  1. Sorry for you young lad. Mandatory jail sentence. Wise up and don’t waste your youth. You are going to a club, why do you need a gun?

  2. Going to a club always requires a gun, everybody knows that. It is why I do not go to those places. Also, everyone knows you are more likely to be found with a gun and use a gun at such place. So going, and taking the weapon was just stupid. You are going to be caught. So just don’t break the law.

Stay away from such place, it is not worth it.

  3. @ my way of helping thats crap going to the club does not require a gun unless you have enemies you suspect may be armed..Nobody wanna do him nothing he just wants to have a gun and feel tougher than he is….His older brothers were street warriors he was not apart of that heat….He is a good kid just wants to be tough I hope he realize hit’s not worth it and gets passed this…
