US-based company Nabisco has issued a recall to its popular cookies Chips Ahoy, according to US Media.
The recall of the popular snack in the US could affect Antigua and Barbuda but there has been no word from the authorities on whether the affected cookies are on local shelves.
The company is recalling certain Chip Ahoy 13oz bags of cookies due to the presence of an unexpected solidified ingredient.
The presence of the ingredient can have adverse effects on the consumer according to reports.
The specific recalled cookies are the 13oz bag with UPS number 04400032235, best by date 7th, 8th September 2019, 14th September 2019 and 15th September 2019. These dates can be found on the top left-hand corner of the package.
Nabisco Chips Ahoy Cookies are sold at shops and Supermarkets nationwide.
