Alex Feng, a Chinese national previously involved in a 2021 arson attack on the XPZ store, remains in custody after his case was adjourned again. Facing charges of malicious damage, using threatening language, and throwing missiles, Feng was remanded last Friday due to the absence of a Chinese interpreter.

The same issue led to his return to prison after his second court appearance. The court aims to secure an interpreter for his next hearing on August 21.

  1. Really, don’t we have enough problems of our own.
Really don’t care about his story, issues, or problems.
Please put Antiguan and Barbuda first for a change.
Put his ass on a plane and send him home end of story
Whatever happens after is not our problem.
Please get this convinced criminal out of here!!!

  2. Whatever they did to break this young man we will probably never know
I believe the owners of XPZ dis something to him or his family in retaliation for what he did

Nobody jus act out like that but since this government is all up China arse they won’t help him but throw him to the element

I hope one day he gets his justice

  3. INTERESTING NEWS- ANR: …FOLLOW-UP ‘…PROVISIONAL PROCEDURES

    READ AND KNOW

It boggles the mind as to ‘…HOW THE MAGISTRATE COMMUNICATED TO ‘…ALEX FENG’ ON FIRST MAGISTERIAL APPEARANCE…? WAS THERE AN INTERPRETER…?

    NOW:

From the ‘…ALLEGATIONS,’ none may deny that the ‘…CHINESE NATIONAL,’ had got himself entangled with the ‘LAW.’ None therefore, may ‘…Defend the Indefensible.’

    PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE

The ‘…Constitution Order’ (1981], has long anticipated such to happen, and ‘…FRAMERS’ have inserted applicable provisions to guide:

    (i) ‘…POLICE:

    (ii) …MAGISTRATES: and

    (iii) …JUDGES.’

These office-holders shall not be ‘…BLAMED’ for the alleged actions of ‘…Defendants and Accused.’

    BLAMED FOR PROCEDURAL IGNORANCE

Still, they could be ‘…BLAMED FOR PROCEDURAL IGNORANCE.’

DEEMED TO KNOW: …WHEN APPOINTED TO:

    (a) ‘…The Magistracy- BENCH: and

    (b) …Judiciary- BAR,’ they are ‘…DEEMED TO KNOW’ the ‘…Constitutional Provisions.

    BAIL AND TRIAL

    Such ‘…KNOWLEDGE’ guides:

    (i) ‘…HIS/HER WORSHIP: and

(ii) THEIR LORD AND LADYSHIP,’ in proceedings for:

    (a) …Discretionary BAIL: and

    (a) …Non-Discretionary TRIAL.’

That which favors the ‘…NON-ENGLISH-SPEAKING DEFENDANTS/ACCUSED,’ are these:

    (i) ‘…Any person who is ‘ARRESTED’ or ‘DETAINED’ (by Police) shall be informed:

    (a) …ORALLY (Talk): and in

    (b) …WRITING (Documentary- Serve with COPY OF CHARGE): and

    (c) … In ‘…LANGUAGE’ that he/she UNDERSTANDS: of

    (d) …The ‘REASON’ for his/her arrest or detention’ [CO: 1981: Section 2].

    PROCEDURAL RESPONSIBILITIES

These are not only the ‘…Constitutional Provisions’ to be followed, but also the ‘…PROCEDURAL RESPONSIBILITIES’ of:

    (i) …Arresting/Detention officers (Police):
    (ii) …Magistrates: and
    (iii) …Trial Judges.’

MOST FUNDAMENTAL: SOMETIMES SEEMINGLY OUT OF IGNORANCE- ABUSED

The ‘…Constitution Order’ anticipated that for any allegation whether:

    (a) ‘…TRUE: or

    (b) …FALSE,’ there are those, who, without ‘…PROVEN or UNPROVEN FACTS,’ may quickly
and prematurely jump conclusions of ‘..Belief or Disbelief.’

    GUARDING AGAINST INJUSTICE

Clearly, ‘…Guarding Against Injustice,’ the ‘…Constitution Order’ provides that
every person (including ALEX), charged with a ‘…CRIMINAL OFFENCE’ shall be:
    (i) ‘…Presumed INNOCENT’ until he is:

    (a) ‘…TRIED and PROVED: or has

    (b) …PLEADED GUILTY’ [CO: 1981: Section 15 (2)].

    INTERPRETER

If such person ‘…Speaks ‘…No Language’ that:

    (i) ‘…The Police:

    (ii) …Magistrates: or

(iii) …Trial Judges’ understand, or he/she does not understand, this is what the
    ‘Constitution Order,’ emphatically states:

‘…Every person (including CHINESE NATIONAL) charged with a criminal offence and the ‘Police: …Magistrates: and …Trial Judges’ do not understand ‘…MANDARIN,’ and he/she does not understand ‘…ENGLISH,’ they shall be:

‘…Permitted to have ‘…WITHOUT PAYMENT’ the ‘…ASSISTANCE ‘ of ‘…an INTERPRETER’ at the trial of the ‘Criminal Charge’ [CO: 1981: Section 15 (2) (f)].
