Condolences Extended After Fatal Electrocution at Booby Alley Project

Foreign Affairs Minister E.P. Chet Greene has expressed condolences following the tragic death of a 52-year-old Chinese worker who was electrocuted while erecting scaffolding at the Booby Alley Project on Wednesday. Another worker was injured and remains hospitalized.

During a meeting with Ambassador Zhang Yanling, Greene extended sympathies to the government and people of China and confirmed efforts to notify the deceased’s family. Health Minister Sir Molwyn Joseph also informed the Cabinet, which pledged support in the aftermath.

The Booby Alley Project, a key redevelopment effort in Point, reflects the strong ties between Antigua and Barbuda and China.
