Excitement filled the air at the National Public Library of Antigua and Barbuda last Friday morning, as Jamel Sampson, widely known as Certified Sampson, a dynamic digital creator and entertainer from Trinidad and Tobago made a special appearance during the Library’s “Colour Our World” Summer Programme, which concludes tomorrow, August 1.
The visit, arranged by the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, brought excitement and laughter to campers aged 5 to 16, who were delighted to meet the popular personality in person, and cheered on his arrival.
Certified Sampson engaged the campers with fun, interactive games that filled the library with laughter, an energetic sing-along that had the campers fully engaged, and sharing the story of his inspirational career journey. His messages of self-belief, and perseverance were well-received, and the lively Q&A session that followed provided a memorable and positive experience for the campers.

Director of the National Public Library of Antigua and Barbuda, Ryllis Mannix, in expressing her appreciation for the visit said, “We were very happy to have Certified Sampson! The children and the library team, absolutely enjoyed the visit, as he has many followers here at the library. It was amazing that he was able to connect with the campers and encourage them to believe in themselves, while stressing the importance of working hard to achieve their goals.”
The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority extends heartfelt thanks to the National Public Library of Antigua and Barbuda for warmly welcoming Certified Sampson to the camp. His visit formed part of his time in Antigua and Barbuda from July 23 – July 28 where he enjoyed the Antigua Carnival T-shirt Mas, other exciting pre-Carnival festivities and destination tours.
