The Central Board of Health has responded to concerns in the public about the conditions at the Mary E. Pigott Primary School.
This response comes on the heels of pictures circulating on social media of a water puddle which according to reports caused a child at the school to become infected.
Senior Public Health Inspector at CBH, Emile Floyd confirmed a team from the Central Board of Health, the Ministry of Health and the Board of Education visited the school last week.
Floyd indicated that it was only last week that the Central Board of Health was contacted even though the alleged incident occurred in May.
In this interview with the Communications Department at the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment, Floyd detailed the assessment that was carried out by the team.
He also listed the measures that need to be put in place by the Board of Education to have the issue rectified.
