Central Board of Health Issues Urgent Alert on Bed Bug Infestations in Antigua and Barbuda

The Central Board of Health has issued a critical alert about the growing threat of bed bug infestations in Antigua and Barbuda.

Public Health Inspector Julienne Mannix highlighted the difficulty many face in identifying these small, reddish-brown insects that feed on blood.

While their bites usually heal on their own, allergic reactions or skin issues can occur.

Mannix advises washing clothes in hot water, using high heat for drying, inspecting mattresses and bedding for signs of infestation, and applying insecticides properly. She urges immediate action to prevent infestations from spreading.
