The Census Office is urging residents to cooperate with field officers as the 2025 Population and Housing Census continues across Antigua and Barbuda.

Officials say the census is critical to national planning and resource allocation in areas such as healthcare, education, housing and infrastructure. Participation is required by law, and trained enumerators are visiting households nationwide.

The office assured the public that all information collected is confidential and used only for statistical purposes. Residents may verify a census worker’s identity by calling 562-7495, 562-7492 or 462-4775.

  1. This has to be one of the longest census ever conducted on the island. I can recall doing previous censuses and it only took two or three months to collect and gather all the necessary information.

This one has been ongoing since June last year and we are now in February 2026.
