Catherine’s Café and Sheer Rocks reopening this week to vaccinated customers only

With the anticipated announcement of Catherine’s Café and Sheer Rocks both reopening this week, comes a new requirement that all guests over the age of 18 show proof of at least one government approved vaccination against Covid-19, in an effort to protect both staff and patrons.

This standard is in line with Antigua and Barbuda’s government advisory for individuals coming on island and is maintained by all Rocks Group businesses, including Rocks Group Events. Likewise, all staff members are vaccinated as per Rocks Group’s company policy.

 

Rocks Group’s popular beach venue, Catherine’s Café, reopens on Saturday, October 16th, 2021, after a brief seven-week closure.

The team is eager to get back to Pigeon Point Beach and safely see their beloved guests. Located at the south end of the beach, nestled among neem trees, Catherine’s Café offers modern French cuisine in a relaxed yet elegant setting, with a new chef at the helm.

 

As of October 16th, Catherine’s Café will open for lunch six days a week, closed Tuesdays, with the very-popular Beach & Brunch and Lunch Menu available, as well as dinners returning next month. Also open on-site will be the brand’s lifestyle boutique and deli, Urchin Atelier, offering home furnishings, artwork, beachwear, and house-made deli items.

 

Perched atop a rocky cliff, Sheer Rocks, reopens Friday, October 15th, running Tuesdays through Sundays for lunch, dinner, and the sought-after Pool Experiences. The vivid scenery creates a stunning backdrop for lounging in the sun, long tapas lunches, and romantic sunset dining. Head Chef Jamal Warner and Group Executive Chef, Simon Christey-French have created beautiful Mediterranean-inspired menus around the island’s freshest ingredients.

 

Alongside the new vaccination requirement, both restaurants maintain a series of COVID-19 safety protocols, including temperature checks, distanced tables, a sanitization station, and masks required at all times unless seated at a table.

  1. Okay? I’m glad this is taking place in a sense cause when those places are infested with covid from the vaccinated and they’re all sick it’s gonna be a different story.

      • The vaccine reduces your chance of being infected and also of infecting others. It doesn’t eliminate the risk, but to spell it out for you, if you are around others who are vaccinated there is less chance they will be infected and therefore less chance they will infect you. You seem to have difficulty understanding basic logic, no wonder you are an anti vaxx conspiracy nut

        • So the vaxes don’t work then – not as vaccines at any rate – and you risk damaging side effects too. No wonder producers enjoy immunity from prosecution.

          All for an illness with a 99.7% survival rate.

          Ivermectin on the other hand does work.

The vaccine do not reduce anything I don’t know where you’re getting your information from but you obviously can’t think for yourself. If there were a lower chance of getting it then places with majority vaccinated should be seeing a overall decline in cases right? So explain why fully vaccinated gibraltar has the highest amount of cases and death doubled since vaccination? A 99.7% survival rate? If it worked at least slightly they should be just about covid free right? Israel? Not as highly vaccinated but last time I checked it was 65 and that’s more than half the population and they’re just about on their 4TH DOSE yet cases are still Rising….so again, shouldn’t it be going down instead of up considering the majority is fully fully fully vaccinated???? Make it make sense…how does it possibly reduce the risk? Vaccinated are 13 times more likely to get covid that an unvaccinated who has had the infection before. Natural immunity is also better than the vaccine “immunity” which last what? Just about 2 seconds?😂 And when you vaccinated bring a new variant about, can your life saving vaccine help protect you against those mutated variants? Nope….more booster for you which probably still won’t work. The vaccine is actually destroying your immune systems and that’s why so many vaccinated are getting infected and dying because they can’t fight it off because their body is too weak. And not only are you making your body toxic but you’re actually toxic to people around you with the high spike proteins your body is letting off.
          But I’ll take conspiracy nut as a compliment because those who can see through bullshit and deceit and who speak truth are call that but the day will come and tables will turn.

          Conspiracy: bill gates is actually using the vaccines to decrease the earth population by 15% because too many people are on earth as said in his ted talk in 2010 so basically either these vaccines will kill you or sterilize you🤥😂…let’s hope that stays a conspiracy.

  9. Deary deary me, so many silly people on one small island. Or is it just superstition or voodoo culture that seems to befuddle the Antiguan brain. The vaccine in all its forms goes a long way in preventing fatalities. It is NOT the panacea for all strains of the virus. Common sense and an intelligent approach to hygiene and other preventative measures also help contain the spread of the virus.

  11. What’s the big deal? Many countries around the world already do this. You have to show you’re vaccinations card to gain entry.
    This is how the world is now … just move in and shut up … get vaccinated if you want it don’t get vaccinated … if u are not vaccinated then you can’t go certain places. It’s their right like it’s your right
