A thief ran away empty-handed on Saturday after he tried to rob Casanova Restaurant near Jabberwock Beach.
According to reports, a lone masked man entered the fast food restaurant around midnight and demanded money.
It is unclear what the individual was armed with.
Based on police information, the robber fled the scene without getting any cash.
He reportedly took up the cash register but was unable to leave with it, panicked, then ran away.
Police are investigating.
The area is popular with students from the American University of Antigua who live nearby.
