A hospitality professional from Antigua has been recognised among the world’s top luxury service specialists after receiving a 2026 Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) Sirius Award.
According to a statement from Carlisle Bay, Kalin Fontaine was named one of the winners of the Leading Quality Assurance Sirius Awards 2026 and ranked among the top 10 globally out of 100 honoured hospitality professionals selected from thousands of candidates.
The resort said Fontaine was the only professional from the Caribbean region selected among this year’s recognised staff from Leading Hotels of the World properties.

Carlisle Bay described the award as recognising individuals who deliver exceptional luxury hospitality through “genuine warmth, intuitive service, and unforgettable guest experiences.”
Fontaine joined the Carlisle Bay team in 2018. The resort praised her dedication, attention to detail and ability to connect with guests, calling her “a true ambassador” for both the property and Caribbean hospitality.
The hotel also congratulated Fontaine for what it described as a “well-deserved honour” that reflects a high standard of excellence across its team.

Congratulations are in order!!
Wish we had a few more of you.
I hope she receives a great offer from a hotel that values structure, treats its employees well, and compensates them fairly. It’s unfortunate when companies claim they do not have the budget to pay local staff better, yet continue hiring foreign employees at significantly higher salaries, often for roles that could be filled locally. It’s even more disappointing when staff are not given opportunities to further their education, gain certifications, or grow professionally within the company.
Congratulations 🎊 👏 💐 🥳 wishing you much success and blessings
@ Former Staff,
The country overwhelmingly voted for a Government that allows so-called investors to exploit them.
Electors officials in most countries advocate for workers rights in a continuous with the wealthy.
Rather than empowering the workers in Antigua and Barbuda they keep them needy and confused
@Just saying
Government should not allow these things to happen. The pay scale in our hotels are very questionable when it comes to local blacks. Im still waiting to see a black general manager that’s a born and bred black Antiguan too. Always soem white person.🙄 Im no racist but we need to look our for our own.
Shoutin congratulaciones to my love ..
Shane bright like Diamond baby!
