CARILEC Thanks Regional Lineworkers for Supporting Jamaica After Hurricane Melissa
CARILEC has expressed deep gratitude to the lineworkers from across the Caribbean who assisted Jamaica in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa through the CARILEC Disaster Assistance Programme (CDAP).
In a message shared online, the organization praised the workers’ courage, commitment and willingness to leave home to support another nation during its recovery. CARILEC also acknowledged the Utilities and contracting companies that helped make the deployment possible, noting that their solidarity is helping Jamaica restore critical infrastructure “one restored line at a time.”
The statement added that every lineworker on the ground is appreciated and that the entire Caribbean stands with them under the shared banner: “One Caribbean. One Mission. One Love.”
