Caribbean Union Bank (CUB) is honored to continue its sponsorship of the Ministry of Education’s Inter-Secondary School Debate Series and Impromptu Speaking Competition for the seventh consecutive year!
We recognize the immense value of this initiative in developing critical thinking, research skills, and public speaking confidence among the bright young minds of Antigua and Barbuda.
As Esron Gittens, Business Development Associate at CUB, expressed: “The skills gained in this competition will take students from the classroom to the boardroom, the pulpit, parliament, and beyond.
We are proud to support an event that nurtures the leaders of tomorrow.”
The competition kicked off on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, and runs until April 15, 2025. With 13 schools participating, including the Sir McChesney George Secondary School from Barbuda, we look forward to seeing these talented students showcase their debating and impromptu speaking abilities.
