The country’s lone cinema, Caribbean Cinemas, has announced that it too will close for an indefinite period because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a statement, CC said it was adhering to the directives as set out by the government regarding to the congregating of people in closed places.
In accordance with a decision made by the Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda, under the Quarantine Act of 1946, no more than twenty-five (25) persons will be allowed at any restaurants, bars, clubs and other public places at any given time.
Starting March 23, CC said it will therefore close until further notice.
