Police have now charged Earlsfield James of Upper Fort with murder. He is the third person to be charged in connection with the alleged murder of Kemmoy Jeffers of Fort Road, a week ago.

Having been on the run for almost a week, James surrendered himself on Thursday at St. John’s Police Station, following numerous appeals by police for him to turn himself in. He was accompanied by family members.
He is expected before the Court sometime next week.

Earlier this week, police charged Clarence Ira Thomas aka “Wadada” and Raeleen Whynn aka “Shelly” both of Upper Fort Road with Jeffers’ murder. They have since been remanded to prison.
