Captain Willock’s Case Against ABDF Heads to Court as Defence Force Seeks Time Extension

4

The matter between Captain Willock and the Defence Force is set for a preliminary hearing today before Justice Williams.

The matter intensifies as the ABDF is backed by at least seven attorneys-at-law while Willock remains self-represented.

According to court documents, Willock’s claim against the hierarchy of the Defence Force for misconduct in public office was filed on December 19, 2024 — a claim the ABDF did not defend within the 28 days mandated by the rules governing civil litigations.

The ABDF has since applied to the Court for an extension of time and relief from sanction to submit its defense, but Willock has opposed the application, citing ten reasons why the Court should reject the application.

In a separate application, Willock asked the Court to order the Defendants to hand over several documents and audio recordings to prove misconduct in public office.

The Defendants have since fired back, stating that the phone on which the recordings were saved does not function and the recordings thereon have proven to be irretrievable.

Willock says he does not believe the Defendants and intends to cross-examine them at the appropriate time.

The case is in an embryonic stage but Justice Williams has made it clear during the injunction hearing that he does not intend to prolong the matter.

Willock says the ABDF is in a hopeless position to defend the claim despite having the advantage of several legal minds.

  1. Sparrow said ten to one is murder. That wasn’t in a counrt. I wonder what seven to one in a court is. It must be murder, trial and execution. Don’t give uo Captain. Brigader General Benjamin is being made a fool by two of his subordinates who believe they are the best legal minds in the world when their law degree is expired.
