The Calvin Ayre Foundation (CAF) has reaffirmed its commitment to community safety and national service with a generous donation of EC$44,000 to the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda.
The donation has gone directly toward the successful staging of the Force’s Police Week of Events, an annual celebration that honors the dedication, sacrifice, and service of police officers across the nation.
Speaking on the donation, Manager of the Calvin Ayre Foundation and Ayre Group Media Relations Specialist, Jamilla Kirwan, emphasized the importance of supporting institutions that play such a critical role in maintaining peace, security, and social stability. Addressing attendees at Thursday evening’s Commissioner’s Black-Tie Gala, she said:
“We know that no amount of money can truly honor the full measure of your service and sacrifice. Still, it is with great pride that we present this contribution of EC$44,000 toward this year’s activities.
Our hope is that it not only helps make the week a memorable one but also stands as a clear reminder that the community deeply values and supports the men and women in uniform.”
In response, the Acting Commissioner of Police, Everton Jeffers, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Force:
“We are truly thankful to the Calvin Ayre Foundation for this timely donation, which has made it possible for us to successfully host our 57th annual Police Week of Events.
This gesture is not only an investment in the Police Force, but in the people of Antigua and Barbuda. We look forward to the Foundation’s continued support as we work together to keep our communities safe.”
This donation forms part of CAF’s broader mission to invest in projects that uplift communities, foster resilience, and strengthen public institutions.
The 57th Annual Police Week, under the theme, “Rising to new challenges and serving with greater dedication” which started on September 07th, continues today with a cultural food festival; Full Bore Shooting Competition and drama production on Saturday, and culminates with a family fun day on Sunday.
