The Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda has paid tribute to the late Nathaniel “Nat Moses” Francis, a veteran broadcaster and former Member of Parliament, recognizing his contributions to national development and Caribbean media.

During Thursday’s post-Cabinet press briefing, Director General of Communications Maurice Merchant confirmed that Cabinet “did acknowledge the passing of former MP Nathaniel Nat Moses.”

Merchant reflected on Francis’ long career in broadcasting, saying, “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Nat Moses when I was at Grenville Radio Limited, ZDK Radio, once the best radio station in the entire Eastern Caribbean. And Nat Moses was a feature, a regular feature at ZDK, and it was indeed a pleasure working with him.”

He added that the Cabinet “sends its condolences to his family, his friends, and those who are affiliated with him, and acknowledges his contributions not only as a parliamentarian but also as a broadcaster, a veteran broadcaster.”

Cabinet also noted the passing of Winston Gomes, a respected former port official and union leader. Merchant said Prime Minister Gaston Browne had “personally extended his condolences to the family and to the members of the Port and Union Fraternity” and highlighted Gomes’ “sterling contributions in those fields.”
