Browne Grateful for Washington Times Recognition

10

Prime Minister Gaston Browne says he remains grateful for recent recognition as one of the Caribbean’s most influential leaders, despite questions surrounding the origin of the publication.

Speaking on his Browne and Browne radio show, Mr Browne acknowledged that the feature—carried by the Washington Times—may not have been an editorial by the newspaper itself, but said that did not diminish the value of the acknowledgment.

“Whether it came directly from them or through syndication, I’m thankful,” he said. “The real focus should be on results.”

The Prime Minister credited his administration’s consistent performance over the past decade for attracting such international attention. He cited improvements in infrastructure, economic growth, and social development as evidence of effective leadership.

Browne added that global recognition is not new, referencing previous international assessments of Antigua and Barbuda’s economic and governance record.

  1. I guess if someone comes and gives you £4 million right now you will be grateful and ask questions of its source later.
How can you be grateful for recognition from a paid add?
It reminds me of your acceptance of a knighthood from a bogus group which you praised at first and then surrendered shortly after.
Why doesn’t a smart man like you check sources before you accept gifts and praise them only to look amateurs soon after when the truth is revealed.
Someone collected what was later found out to be a bribe in your name.
You didn’t question until scandal broke out?
Mr PM please stop making me look like a university graduate.
    I didn’t go to school.
If your behavior is the definition of edication I am glad to be a fool.

  2. PM Browne, be “grateful” but do not let go to your head. There are vagabonds among us whose only purpose in life is to destroy characters and livelihoods of innocent people. Your nemesis, the SKN Times recently published an article accusing the premier of Nevis of having paid a healthy sum for that accolade from the Wasington Post! We don’t need any such accolade for recognition of what we all know already! The SKN Times operates like a common whore willing to bend in any direction for notoriety and fame. They tried just recently.to drag you down to their level but, as we all know, according to your theme song, you are blessed! The SKN Times were forced to recant immediately or PAY UP. Naturally they chose the latter. Use the Party’s Intelligence Gathering unit to get a first hand scoop on these desperate political prostitutes.
Please know, though, we do not need any news source coming out of the corrupt US to bestow honour on our leaders. They should focus rather on vermin like Donald Trump!

  3. @gsston: so you are greatful that with Ron saunders allocated one of his paid space in the Washington times advertisement section of the paper that s cept political cartoon caricature as a big deal, or you think this will woo the poor semi illiterate Antiguans into thinking you are great, only great is at empowering white monopoly capital domination in barbuda PLH buffer zone for white swimming only beaches with police guarding with m-16 machine guns, but wait you are trying to covet the real leader Hon. Mia Motley spot? That’s laughable for you Gaston to equate yourself with the likes of such great lady of intelligence and etiquette. Antigua people no foolie now Gaston, you too was raised under the bird dynasty media brainwashing so you are nostalgic now you in power to do the same to us, no way.

  5. @ Eldread, once again, there is no such word as greatful! The word as used on this context is GRATEFUL! Stop associating with the likes of Franz and Co. VERY Ltd!!! Dungeness seems contagious!

  6. @faithful national #1: Thanks man for highlighting my grammatic error cause by the alacrity I moved with to respond to things happening in my country according to my civic and constitutional duties, and noticing you omitting any further criticism on the small article I submitted gives me comfort that you concur with me that no Washington post newspaper will pass an esteem leader like the Hon. Mia Motley a real academic and person of etiquette to go ever regard a notorious character like Gaston as someone caught in the eye of the international community as a leader, that’s just laughable because they meant a dealer, especially of Barbuda lands to PLH and white only swimming area guarded by police with m-16 machine guns in the buffer zone Jim crow apartheid area like Israel, I am going to contact Washington post newspaper to put some small excerpts if my favourite spiderman comic in the paid section of the newspaper that Ron saunders advise Gaston to use.
