UPDATE: POLICE SAY TWO MEN WERE KILLED IN PILLAR ROCK SHOOTING
Police say the shooting at Pillar Rock Wednesday night resulted in the murder of two Mexican nationals.
A second man who had earlier been reported missing was later found dead. Both worked at Royalton Resort.
One has been identified as 36 year old Cesar Santos Ramirez.
The other man is 39 years old, but his identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting and the motive are now the subject of a top-level investigation.
This double killing takes Antigua and Barbuda’s murder tally since the start of the year to eight. (State Media)

I meet one of those and believe he isn’t that kind of person, he was a very good men, worker, familiar, and he also wanted to go back to Mexico because he told that the security of Antigua was not good and very stranger things where happening.
Sometimes we sit behind our phone and computers and say what we want. Those men were hard working men. The 39 year old was his parents only child. A hard working and humble giant. The stereotypes about Mexico needs to end. The US media have brainwashed us into thinking that drugs originated from and all “cartels” are Mexicans. There are good and bad people everywhere. So please let us stop jumping to conclusions.
Not jumping to any conclusions, but two poor hard working individuals don’t just get murdered unless some petty criminal wants to rob them. People get murdered for drug dealings, money disputes or a love triangle. And sometimes they know too much. Appears to me these were not random Murders.
What are you even talking about? I think if you check the statistics, you’ll find that most crimes in Antigua, that end in murder, start with crimes of opportunity, often associated with petty theft. These are people who either, feel entitled to what someone else has, or live in poverty and are desperate, so they take extreme measures to get what they need. People WANT it to be for pre dramatic reasons, for their own need to consume gossip and garbage, but until they find out what really happened, unfortunately, people will use dramatic flair to hypothesize on the possible causes. And finally, there are 130 MILLION people in Mexico, not all of them are associated with the cartel, and it’s ignorant to assume they are.

Their are many hardworking criminals/witnesses, it’s called witness protection. I said they were running from the cartel,not that they themselves were cartel members. Read before you jump.
All I have to say that our duty free concessions and tax breaks should be attached with Job opportunities for Antiguans. The manager and staff are disrespectful to Antiguan. Just like the little girl that was not allowed to go to school because of her hairstyle. A just so Antiguans don’t get good jobs at the Royalton because of complexion and belonging to Antiguan.

If the stories are at all connected. Word is that an employee was fired from the Royalton (think he was another manager, I think he might be in the custody of the police ) the deceased might have been the ones to do the firing. Time will tell what happened. Either way it is sad. Very sad !
So sad,Don’t know why this person had to committ this cruel act.Cesar and Rodolfo worked at Royalton St.Lucia and as a security I must say they were very loving people.Every minute,second they passes by they would greet you with a beautiful smile,Their sudden demise came with lots of agonies.I can still feel their physical presence here at the resort regardless they’re no more.I can see them walking my direction with this beautiful smile on their faces.My condolences to the families especially the Royalton families.May their sweet loving souls rest in perfect peace 😭😭😭😭
