Police Investigate Wounding Incidents Involving Students

St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, Thursday, 13th November, 2025

Police are investigating two separate wounding incidents involving students.

Around 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, two separate fights broke out between a group students on High Street.

In the first incident, a 16-year-old male student reported that he was attacked by a group of about six other students while walking with friends. He sustained wounds to his left arm and temple.

In a separate incident, a 17-year-old male student was similarly attacked by a group of students in the same area. He received a wound to his right arm. Both victims were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Investigations remain ongoing into both incidents.

The Police Administration is expressing serious concern over rising violence among students and is urging parents, guardians, and the wider community to become more involved in guiding and monitoring young people. The public is encouraged to support the police in addressing this growing issue and to report any behaviour that may lead to violence.

  1. ANR is asking people to comment on stories and when they do not agree they do not publish.
This is Crime City, there’s hardly a day you do not hear of some sort of crime. I have commented on stories and they are not carried. Someone even told me if I do not like it move to either Jamaica or Trinidad. Ah yah me come fram and me go say things as ther are. ANTIGUA AH CRIME CITY

  2. The police administration is either expressing hypocrisy or incompetence.
On a daily basis one could traverse the entire city and not come in contact with a single uniformed police officer.
Sadly not even during the period when hormone raging young school boys are flooding the streets.
That apparently is not of importance to the police administration.
    No.
Not the preservation of the queen’s peace.
Instead they find it more rewarding to have a police post at Sir Leater Bird Medical Center.
Can someone tell me why the police administration would prioritize police being posted at SLBMC ahead of the busy and crowded streets of St Johns.
Have we had any violent incident at the hoplspital which would make it necessary for 24 hours posting there?
If this isnt incompetence, someone please tell me what it is.
Is the administration waiting to provide a tranquil atmosphere at the hospital after the young men have seriously wounded each other in the streets of St Johns?.
    Give me an aspirin!!!!!!

  3. Every new generation brings something different to this world we lived in, so as passed generations grow older, even though much of the luxury especially in the technological field was lacking, streetlight, indoor plumbing etc, strangely we often looked back and wish we could return to olden days, where shit like this never happens.

  4. I already provided the crime fighting solutions for these as they are/were foreseeable, it is why I provided the solution to the police helm, AG, and other ABLP ministers, who always ignore information from actual experts that is great for the country. Please look in your WhatsApp messages to see the solution. You have it directly from me.
