The body of a caucasian male was discovered in the Jolly Harbour area this morning.
The body was identified as Jolly Harbour resident Paul Roos, a man in his seventies and the owner of Jolly Dive.
He was found in water at his marina that houses two of his boats by a marina attendant who called 9-1-1.
When emergency personnel retrieved the body from the water, a gash on his forehead was noticed.
According to a marina attendant, Roos would check his boats in the mornings as a part of an early morning routine. Roos was pronounced dead and his body was taken by the Barnes funeral home.
According to police the cause of death is not yet known as investigation is still ongoing and they await results from the autopsy.
