Blue Ocean’s newly acquired dredging excavator has been disassembled and shipped from the Port of Holland for transport to Antigua and Barbuda, Prime Minister Gaston Browne has confirmed.
Browne said the purchase of the excavator and a barge by the government for Blue Ocean will make the state a majority shareholder in the company.
The heavy-duty equipment will support national efforts in dredging, beach replenishment, and land reclamation projects—key components of Antigua and Barbuda’s ongoing coastal resilience and infrastructure development initiatives.
