Bishop Charlesworth Browne, head of the Christian Ministries Center, is thanking God after what he called a “sobering” encounter at a Village Walk ATM on Sunday night.
Browne told Antigua.news he stopped to make a deposit around 7:30 p.m. despite feeling uneasy. “As soon as I was through, the door was busted open in a very aggressive way and a young man charged in,” he said. Outside, two vehicles blocked him in before one man jumped out and fled when Browne reached for his phone.
Though shaken, the clergyman was unharmed. He urged residents to avoid using ATMs after dark, citing rising reports of robberies. “I thank God — it could have been worse. We need to be vigilant and watchful,” he said.
The incident has renewed calls for improved ATM security and stronger community vigilance at night.

@Stupidity is the currency: Even though the nation of Antigua and Barbuda 🇦🇬 had a day of prayer, we don’t expect to see improvement right away in crimes activities reducing rapidly. Some people heart may have changed to be good, and others are still being used by Satan to carrying out evil attacks. Are some people whose hearts are just wicked and evil won’t change. Some of these young men parents have sold them to Satan even before their birth.
