Loop News – The Bermuda Police Service has confirmed the man killed in a vehicular accident on Monday was former national footballer Treadwell Kirkland Butterfield.
Butterfield,54, died early on Monday morning when he lost control of his motorcycle and collided with a kerb on Cavendish Road near the Shelton Road junction in Devonshire.
He was ejected from the motorcycle and landed on the roadway.
Police and paramedics, who responded to the crash, found Butterfield in an unresponsive state and attempted to assist him.
Butterfield sustained a serious head injury in the collision.
