Classes at Bendals Primary School have been suspended on Monday after a fire destroyed the school’s administration building.
Director of Education Clare Browne told Antigua.news the blaze broke out in the early hours of Sunday morning, causing extensive damage to the building.
The cause of the fire is not yet known and is under investigation by the police.
Education officials say teachers are expected to return on Tuesday, with normal school operations likely to resume by Wednesday, pending further assessments.
Authorities have indicated that updates will be provided as investigations continue.
