Bendals Primary Fire

The reopening of Bendals Primary School has been postponed until Monday, 2 February, as cleanup and recovery efforts continue following a fire at the school early Sunday morning.

The blaze destroyed the administration building, resulting in the loss of important documents, printers and other equipment essential to the school’s daily operations. The damage has disrupted preparations for the resumption of classes, which had been scheduled for Wednesday.

Teachers, staff and officials from the Board of Education remained on site up to Tuesday afternoon, clearing fire-damaged materials to allow for thorough cleaning and restoration.

Education officials say the delay is necessary to ensure the school is safe and ready for students and staff to return.
