Cabinet Notes: Eight officials from the Antigua and Barbuda Hotel and Tourism Association (ABHTA) wished to learn about the treatment which the Cabinet will accord the use of beaches during the Christmas holidays, including V.C. Bird Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.
The Cabinet informed that on V.C. Bird Day, December 9, 2020, a public holiday, the regulations will be altered to allow beaches to remain open from 5:00 am to 1:00 pm.
However, continuing the restrictions, there shall be no music, no drinks, no picnicking on the public beaches on that day.
Cabinet is guided by the need to remain vigilant in guarding against the spread of the Covid-19 disease by avoiding crowding on beaches at all times.
The Cabinet has yet to decide on the treatment that will be accorded use of the beaches on the additional three holidays.

These people do not have a clue of what they are doing.
This is pure nonsense. On a normal day the beaches are open from 5 am to 7 pm but on a holiday they will be open from 5 am to 1 pm. In that case you might as well continue with the holiday ban since most people go to the beach in the afternoon.
Chupz!! No music, no drinks, so what in God name ppl will be doing on the beach 5pm to 1am at the night ….these ppl think?1🙄🙄
