The long-running “Beaches Case” has been adjourned once more, with the matter now set to return to the Magistrate’s Court on April 9, 2026.

The case, which stems from allegations of trespassing at Laurys Bay in the St. Philip North constituency on Whit Monday, June 9, 2025, has seen the accused make several court appearances as proceedings continue.

Supporters of the defendants have previously criticized the pace of the legal process, describing the repeated delays as an abuse of process. Prosecutors allege the group unlawfully accessed property linked to a private development, while the defendants maintain their actions were tied to concerns about public beach access.

The latest adjournment extends the timeline of the protracted matter, with further developments expected when the case resumes in April.

Why was the reason for a further adjournment not given.
