UPP Accused

The long-running “Beaches Case” has been adjourned once more, with the matter now set to return to the Magistrate’s Court on April 9, 2026.

The case, which stems from allegations of trespassing at Laurys Bay in the St. Philip North constituency on Whit Monday, June 9, 2025, has seen the accused make several court appearances as proceedings continue.

Supporters of the defendants have previously criticized the pace of the legal process, describing the repeated delays as an abuse of process. Prosecutors allege the group unlawfully accessed property linked to a private development, while the defendants maintain their actions were tied to concerns about public beach access.

The latest adjournment extends the timeline of the protracted matter, with further developments expected when the case resumes in April.

  1. Justice delayed is justice denied.
Why was the reason for a further adjournment not given.
Lack of transparency gives rise to speculation.

  2. The ALP has been running a state capture so they manipulate the judiciary, and has ask them to delay until after the by-election

  3. There are no DAMN PRIVATE BEACHES ON ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA.ALL OF THE BEACHES ARE PUBLIC AND MUST BE ACCESSIBLE BY LAND OR SEA BY CHOICE.THE PEOPLE NEED TO RISE UP AND DEMONSTRATE AGAINST THIS BULL CHIT.FOR IT AFFECTS ALL OF US REGARDLESS OF POLITICAL AFFILIATIONS. I REALLY WANT TO SEE THE OUTCOME OF THIS CASE.THEN SEE WHAT THE PEOPLE DO,IF THE VERDICT GOES AGAINST THEM.LIKE I DID SAY,IT NOT A POLITICAL MATTER.

  4. The Judicial system needs to be looked into it. Simple cases like this should not be allowed to drag on. This is why the public doesn’t have any faith in the system. All kinds of legal procedures are allowed to frustrate the process. Perhaps the CCJ needs to look at the lower courts more closely and how they are dispersing justice. Justice delayed is Justice Denied.

  5. Time to throw out this sham of a case! How long can they continue to do this phuckery? What kind of justice system is this? They’re deliberately trying to frustrate the defendants. Isn’t there some higher judicial system the defendants can make a complaint to about this BS? The/These judge/s needs to be sanctioned for bias/abuse of power or something else!
